The russet medi cat was dreaming. It was the same dream as he aways had;

Clusters of storm clouds clouded the forms of cats fighting, thunder broke all other sounds even all the yowls of pain. Blood and frayed fur. Lighting cut across the sky as the clans names were mentioned and cats fell.

Then, he awake. Lonely, cold, but, alive in the medi den. He sighed. Curling up tighter with his tail over his nose. What in starclans name did it all mean.

Ravenpaw breathed quietly, she shook her head, and then the rest of her, her fur puffed up, and then flattened itself. She looked around before sneaking past Waspsnest den hoping not to have been seen, she head out of camp silently her raven black fur blending perfectly with the shadows that surround her as she padded out of camp. She gazed around quietly her ears flicked and she looked to see if anyone was around before she padde farther in.

The russet tom was as blind as he was grey, meaning, he could see perfectly. With slightly parted eyes he had seen the small form sneaking infront of the medi den, then fallowed, who he now realized was Ravenpaw, out of camp, sure to keep a save distance as not to be seen or heard. He even made sure he was down wind. But, the fact that his apprentace was black, made her hard to see in the shadows. But, somehow he managed.

Ravenpaw looked about quietly, her icy blue eyes easily able to see in the shadows, she made her way to the middle of the territory, she gazed around quietly, she padded over to a small flower that was all by itself, she stared down at it. "Hello" She meowed sadly to it, she padded over and curled up around it gently placing her tail on it and keeping it safe.

The russet tom curled up under the cover of some ferns, shivering. For some reason, it was cold tonight. He watched the kit as she curled around the flower. Confused by her actions. He sighed, before yawning. Which was a bad idea, it lead to the pollon from near by plants making him sneeze.

Ravenpaw shudded slightly as a cold wind blew by she ignored it trying to stay still. Ravenpaw jumped up at the sound of someone sneezing, she stood infront of the flower protectively, her ears folded back, she hissed sharply and her fur bristled. She gazed out her icy blue eyes had a slightly hint of red to them, but only for a second before she glared, "Who is out there?" She questioned.

Don't lose your tail. the russet tom stepped into the view of the other with a sign. The wing bristling his fur. I just fallowed to see if you were ok, and to make sure you were save. He explained. Wondering if she would be mad. He would have been very saddened if something had happened to the kit. He had basically raised her.

Ravenpaw relaxed when she seen it was Waspsnest, she sat back down, and flicked her tail at her side curling it up she nodded a bit, "I guess not" She said refering to the don't lose your tail part. Ravenpaw looked at him, her icy blue gazed looked slightly surprised, "You followed me all the way out her, to make sure I was...safe?" She questioned.

The russet cat nodded and sat down on the edge of the clearing. The cold wind played with his fur and the moonlight made his milky eyes gleam. Yes, i came here to make sure you were safe.

Ravenpaw stared at him with her icy blues eyes questioningly, her ears folded back, and she looked down silently, the cold wind made her shiver slightly. "Why would you do that?" She questioned, she had always been so mean to him, well not always but still, she didn't understand why he would come check on her after the way she talked to him.

You are my apprentice, i've basically raised you, you are like a daughter to me, i would feel terrible if something happened to you. he eplained with a soft tone in his voice as he glanced to the she cat.

Ravenpaw blinked and stared at Waspsnest, her once icy blue eyes filled with confusion. Her ears folded back, "I am like a daughter to you?" She questioned, she didn't understand, no one had ever cared for the twins, at least not through there eyes, everyone they loved they lost, or at least she did, she lost her mother, her father, even her own twin, her soul, and her kindness, and all that was left was hate and confusion. Ravenpaw shook her head, she glanced up at Waspsnest again.

Waspsnest nodded his head at the apprentace. You are like a daughter to me and i care for you and would hate to lose you no matter what. I would feel as though i failed you. Since i cannot have kits i guess you're the closest thing i will ever have and i realize this and i would hate to lose you. he answered quickly as he stared back at her. that is why i want you to succeed that is why i say i know you, that is why i came. He sighed. If you were not here i would not have anything to really live for. Sure i could chose another apprentace, but, it would not be the same. I chose you because i saw something in you. Starclan could not have prodicted how fast you progressed in training. Or how i could come to raise you as if you were my own. I often wondered if you looked at me the same way. Like a father maybe? He asked.

Ravenpaw stared at Waspnest, her ears folded back as she listened to him speak, everything in her mind shut down as she took in the words he spoke, she blinked a couple times and tryed to get herself back to normal but found herself unable. Her words were stuck in her throat, "F-Father?" She questioned after, flinching at the word as she did, she lost her own father who she had loved greatly, he died a horrible death whish started her cycle of hate, she shook her head, "N-no" She said, "Bad things happen to those I care about" She said laying down on the ground her tail curled but and her ears folded back, she had a sad look in her eyes.

The medi cat looked down to his russet paws and sighed deeply. His milky eyes rather distant. He glanced to the she cat. I understand that i can not replace the family you have lost. I cannot compair to that. I just wanted you to know that you have grown close enough for me to consiture you a daughter and to want to help you and portect you. That is all. he spoke as he sat down once again and watched her.
