Appearence: Liongaze is a ragged old black and white tom. He has a torn left ear that he got in a fight with a badger, but he tends to exaggerate and claim it was a wolf or some other large creature. He is mostly black but with white splashes on his chest and the white seems to be permanently stained off white by dirt. He has yellow eyes that betray great wisdom. He is a large tom, and despite his age he moves quite well
Personality: Liongaze, as a senior warrior, is not afraid to tell it like it is. Leader, medicine cat, elder, it makes no difference, he does not sugarcoat anything. He is older than most cats in the Clan and has seen them all grow and mature. He is an elite warrior of ThunderClan and as such has earned a place in as one of the revered cats in the Clan.
He never had a mate or kits, never finding a female he liked enough and finding kits annoying. He is very grave, and never does anything without first thinking it through to the consequences.
His gruff but cuddly attitude him a favorite among the apprentices who love to gather and listen to him talk. He's unsure how he feels about this, but he welcomes the opportunity to tell tales of the glories of ThunderClan's past...and to elaborate the truth a little if he feels like it.
But the most important thing to remember is, Liongaze is not mean. He may be gruff at times, but he's never cruel.

History Liongaze was born as Lionkit to two seemingly normal ThunderClan parents. But soon after Lionkit's birth, her parents departed ThunderClan to live as rogues and when they tried to take Lionkit with them, they were violently stopped.
Lionkit did not seem to mind being an unofficial orphan. From a young age he showed a strong streak of independence and clashed with his mentor when he became an apprentice. His mentor was a doddering old tom named Dartfur, and while he had been an extremely skilled warrior in his day, he was better suited for the Elders Den than training Lionpaw.
But Lionpaw became Liongaze, and he can claim something that probably no other cat in the forest can: he was offered the ThunderClan deputy position and turned it down.
At 40 moons old, Liongaze believed that although he was not an old cat he was certainly too old and too apathetic to get tangled up in Clan politics. The position was then offered to hsi friend Smokeoelt, who accepted with Liongaze's blessing.
Liongaze has lived 75 moons in the forest and acquired quite a reputation for himself. He has seen three leaders in his time: Arrowstar, Smokestar, and now the young Featherstar. He is in no way ready to slow down, not while he can still catch a squirrel better than most of the younger warriors!
