Robinwing couldn't help but smile when her paw touched the warm stones, the heat from the smooth surface of the sunning rocks seemed to fill her as she got all four paws onto them, and her nose turned a slightly darker shade of pink as her face heated up in a blush of pleasure. She had come to Sunning Rocks with the intention of hunting, but she supposed it wouldn't do any harm to sit down for a little while, and she soon found herself sprawled on the rocks, her tail flopping around lazily behind her. She blinked in the afternoon sunlight and felt herself relax. Her muscles, tense from running after the two squirrels she had caught, began to unwind and her claws kneaded the pebbles underneath them as a purr rose up inside her chest.
Her little happy moment came to an abrupt end as she realized she was wasting time. With some regret, she reminded herself that she had come to the sunning rocks to hunt, not waste time lazing about, and with a sad sigh, she picked herself up from the warm rocks and scanned the area around herself for any sign of prey. She had spotted a mouse when she heard the sound of approaching pawsteps, and she swiveled an ear in the direction of the noise, so as to let the owner of the paws know she had heard them. Her eyes stayed on the mouse and she readied herself to pounce, but then the mouse seemed to sense her, and it scurried away under a stone before she had time to take even the smallest of pawsteps in its direction.
With a sigh, she sat and let her head hang. She had wanted to catch something other than a squirrel.
